Cruz Pedregon Racing is a nitro funny car team that competes in the NHRA drag racing series competing at 24 events in 18 states 10 months out of the year. The team holds the fastest accelerating car on the face of the planet, maintaining times going 1000 feet in 3.8 seconds at 330 miles an hour.
Owner Cruz Pedregon, is a two time world champion entering his 28th season of professional racing as a nitro funny car driver. General Manager Caleb Cox is currently working getting his alcohol dragster license, in which cars race a quarter-mile at 5.2 seconds at 280 miles an hour. Cox describes Cruz Pedregon Racing: “Our type of drag-racing is very hard to explain it really has to be experienced, because when our car leaves the starting line it measures on the Richter scale as a 2.3 earthquake.”
At Cruz’s track, fans 12 and under get in for free which lead General Manager Caleb Cox to decided to acquire a trading card set for the team. Parents don’t always want to purchase a T-shirt or hoodie from a sporting event for young children since they will eventually grow out of it.
